After taking Gypsie for a walk on the trails this morning, Lex and I stopped to help our neighbor, Ms. Gail, mow her lawn (her helper wasn't available, and I felt it was much too hot for her to be mowing the lawn). As a reward for being so patient, Ms. Gail gave Lex and ice-cream treat, and as you can see, he LOVED it!

Homegrown
No, we are not the type of parents who pressure their kids into sports, but Mace and Lex have taken it upon themselves to participate in this year's summer Olympics right from their own home. No matter what event they catch a glimpse of, they just have to "do it" themselves. Here are a couple of pics of the boys "diving" (from the couch unto pillows) :)

Opening Ceremonies
Move over Olympics, Mace had his first ever soccer opening ceremonies this past Saturday. He participated in a soccer ball shoot-out, had team photos taken, won his own soccer ball for kicking a ball into a big circle (he was one of only four chosen to participate), and took place in the parade of flags! Such excitement, and he hasn't even turned five yet!
